The Aurora Lake is an area accessible from the end of the staircase in the Subterranean Plant.

The Aurora Lake is a large, watery, looping environment with pipes surrounding the foreground, showing that the area is located underground. It starts off dark, until such time that the surroundings, most prominently the waters, reflect the colors of an aurora in a periodic manner. Along the way, seaweeds dot the surroundings, where some of them are transparent.
Southeast of where you start from, there is another group of cubic structures alongside a vending machine. Just beside that vending machine is a passageway to a dark room with a hole that leads to Rainfall Ruins.
